My horse Ozzy has been at Gryffeside Livery Yard for just over a year and I am very happy there. All the facilities are excellent, and the hacking is arguably the best in the area, with many off road rides. Everything about the stables and yard has obviously been well thought out by Karen and Willie, making everything very convenient. I no longer have to worry about stocking up on feed, haylage or shavings as everything is available on site.
As well as enjoying the yard and the adult company, I was persuaded by Karen to try oral Aloe Vera on my horse who has sarcoidosis in his skin. He has been on Aloe now for about 9 months and I am delighted in the improvement in skin and in his general health. My vet has even suggested that I cut down on his regular medicine. I would happily recommend the yard and Aloe Vera.

My move to Gryffeside has given me a much needed kick up the backside. The fun in having horses was starting to wear off and I was at a stage where I contemplated selling them. I felt I was stuck and didn’t really see a solution. There was too much hard work and not enough payback. The decision to move yards was not an easy one but once made I could not wait to get the ball rolling. The move itself was smooth and I got all the assistance I could ask for from Karen and Willie.
Gryffeside is managed really well by Karen and Willie, who are both really friendly and helpful. The layout of the yard is, to me, original and very pleasant. The stable building has been built well. It is spacious, airy and the lighting is very good. The pods of four with a good sized shared tackroom are easy to keep tidy, with the added benefit of giving you a sense of privacy. The automatic water drinkers are a definite plus as I now don’t have to fill any water buckets. As I am a DIY-livery, having a feed shop on site is obviously another extra benefit. No more driving about to get feed/shavings means more time to spend with my horses.
Both my horses quickly settled in at their new home. I was a bit concerned about my two year old before the move but she has taken it in her stride. There is ample turnout and a nice routine for turning out/bringing in, feeding and so on. As for the riding... What can I say? The fun has been put back in to it. The school has a great view over the fields. There is loads of good hacking, both on quiet country lanes and off road. I am out exploring as much as I can and I am loving every second of it.

I am a member of Kilmacolm Riding Club and started eventing in 2007. I moved to Gryffeside Livery partly for its location, being so close to Ingliston Equestrian Centre, Riding Club rallies, the M8 and of course the amazing hacking which is a major bonus to keeping my horses fit!
Also the service that Gryffeside provide is excellent. My horses are well cared for and are very settled in their consistent daily routine.
Being at Gryffeside gives me peace of mind and was one of the best decisions I have made.

Since moving Flynn to Gryffeside Livery yard I have been delighted with the standard and quality of the yard. Flynn is extremely happy here and is very well cared for. We have spent many happy hours hacking in wonderful countryside straight from the yard.
Karen and Willie are always on hand and are both working hard to provide a yard which is of an outstanding standard.

I’ve had my horse at Gryffeside for the past few months. In that time he has been really well looked after and settled in really well. The local hacking is fantastic both on and off road. The yard is an ideal location for local shows and riding club events.
