Location

  • Situated on 600 acres of our own farmland on the outskirts of Kilmacolm, Renfrewshire.  Glasgow, Paisley, Greenock all less than 30 minutes.
  • Miles of quiet country lanes make you spoilt for choice on where to ride
  • Exclusive access to miles and miles of all year round superb off road hacking.  Much of the routes take you across the surrounding hills so whether you are looking to get your horse competition fit or simply enjoy stunning scenery it’s the place to be.
  • Perfectly situated for many equestrian events.  For example, we are just 30 minutes from Ingliston, 1 hour from Rowallan, 2 minutes from David Gatherer! and many of the Kilmacolm Riding Club events are on our doorstep.

The Stables

  • Unique layout design
  • Capacity of 16 internal stables making it large enough to be sociable but small enough to be friendly.
  • Brand new and purpose built to the highest specification and meticulously maintained.
  • Under cover tie up areas.
  • Automatic water drinkers as standard (can be turned off if desired).
  • Rubber mats.
  • 16 stables are divided into ‘pods’ of four offering the perfect balance, for you and your horse, of enough going on to be interesting but not too much as to become hectic and stressful.
  • Horses seem to settle in very quickly in this environment.
  • Secure tackrooms with ample storage.  Never more than 4 people sharing one tack room.

Turnout

  • Exceptionally good quality grazing.  Fields regularly rested and rotated.
  • All year turnout
  • Small hardstanding paddocks. Ideal for our Scottish weather! Also great for laminitics, fatties and horses rehabilitating.
  • Flexibility to move horses around if, for example any bullying, to create 'happy herds'.
  • Worming programme. Yard responsible for pasture management so no poo picking!

Friendly and relaxed atmosphere

This is something we are passionate about.  Karen has spent many years keeping her own horse in livery yards and knows only too well that 'bitchiness' can be a common feature. Ever found yourself feeling stressed at the thought of going to your yard?  We want owners to be able to come and enjoy their horse and have fun. We have also chosen to make it an adults only yard.  This is something you will either love or hate!  We are delighted to say that all our owners help to create a great atmoshphere and a place you will enjoy spending time.

Outdoor Arena

  • Use of 30 x 45 all weather, floodlit school
  • The topping is sand and rubber and rides beautifully.

Our standard opening hours are 7 am to 9 pm.  However, we recognise that clients may need to visit their horse outside of these hours and we are happy to accomodate this with prior arrangement.
